Add Search Provider to Internet Explorer Error
It’s strange how often the Microsoft “Add Search Provider to Internet Explorer” page breaks with java script errors (specifically Element not found on line 116). Every other Microsoft site and service seem pretty solid but for some reason this one doesn’t seem to be as important. I just can’t figure out why this is not a priority for them?

Fear not, you can quickly add Google (or any other search provider) on your own. Use the Create Your Own box on the right and enter the following for Google:
http://www.google.com/search?q=TEST&btnG=Google+Search
Name it something like “Google2″ or “Google Custom” so you know this is your custom entry
You can also just merge this in to the registry manually if you prefer:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchScopes\{AD921EC0-ABB6-414C-AE7D-4DBF9ABFD024}]
“DisplayName”=”Google2″
“URL”=”http://www.google.com/search?q={searchTerms}&btnG=Google+Search”
“Codepage”=dword:0000fde9
